The JL Trou (rhymes with now) is a protective and fashionable covering for rowers' butts. Worn to the mid-thigh, you are guaranteed the distinctive rower's tan line. JL trou have a high back (don't you just hate rowing behind people whose shorts reveal that "plumber's smile"??), feature sewn-in elastic with drawstring and reinforced seams, and all are double-seated for comfort!

JL Pinstriped Trou--Unisex or Women's
Pinstripes are small accent stripes that are sewn into a seam. A single pinstripe goes down the side seam, double pinstripes are sewn into the seams on either side of a vertical stripe (which can be contrast or match the color of the short).

Why is there a hole in my trou?

Take a good look inside the original JL Trou. You will see an attention to detail that has made ours the premier rowing short for over two decades. Notice that there is "non-coverage" at the convergence of the seams at the crotch. We cut out this triangle-shaped section of the pad to avoid a buildup of layers in a sensitive location. Super Padded Trou
Try these for your long steady state pieces. Constructed of our proven Polypropylene/lycra, and padded with double-sided polarfleece, you will notice the difference right away. This padding extends up the back of the trou, keeping your lower back quite warm. Using four-way stretch fleece inside allows the same movement as all of our top technical garments. Black only.

Sizing

Trou sizing is unisex, but remember that our specialty is making what you want! Our Women's Trou is sized for rowers, and is NOT like "Department Store" sizing. Men--use your actual waist measurement in inches, NOT your jean size! Keep in mind that ranges can be affected by height and weight.
