| The Sequel is a rowing-specific garment, don't wear it baggy! | |
 | A. The body should have some room available for wearing a techshirt underneath, but not too much. Should not be baggy! B. Arms are cut very very long. I hate having the sleeve of a jacket bunch up around my forearms when at full reach. |
 | In the boat wearing a Sequel A. The front is snug to the body, nothing curling over or getting stuck at the release. There is nothing loose across the body to flap in the wind. B. High collar in the back keeps the back of your neck warm and toasty. Zip it up in super chill, leave it open for more venting. C. The long tail of the Sequel Jacket lays flat against the lower back, keeping the lumbar region warm and dry. The tail will not catch in the tracks, as it is designed to float above. |

- Is it waterproof?
Our SplashJackets are made of waterproof (Hytrel or Splashlite) or water-resistant (Gamex)shell fabric. The seams are not taped (this would make the jacket almost twice the price), so we recommend using a seam sealer purchased at an outdoor shop. You can then seal the collar and back shoulder seams. When made of breathable Drywick, the side panels will allow moisture in, but more importantly, they let moisture out and provide that great movement. All styles come with shell fabric on the side panels, so you can get exactly what you want. - Can I get it longer?
Of course! We know that rowers can have super long torsos. Just tell your rep how much longer you want it, but keep in mind that we make these long to start with. Always best to try one on to be sure you actually need extra length. - How snug should I wear it?
Our SplashJackets should not be baggy--the 4-way stretch side panel allows plenty of movement with a snugger fit than normal jackets. Besides, all you will be wearing under your jacket is a suit and a techshirt, and these (even the thickest) will not take up much room. - Should I worry about getting the tail stuck in my tracks?
Not at all! When sized correctly the tail lays flat; protecting your lower back completeley yet still "floating" far above the tracks. - No standard pockets on the Sequel?
Most people never even find the Secret Agent Pocket that comes standard on all our SplashJackets. Just inside the zipper with just enough room for an ID or change for donuts, the Key/Credit Card Pocket. We do offer side pockets as add-on options, and they come as a standard feature on the Sequel Release SplashJacket.
Tall and long sizing
JL Jackets can be made longer, both in the body and the arms, usually for minimal charge. Our garments are made for long reach to begin with, but if you need even more--let us know!
